Ben Abergel is a creative technologist at the forefront of integrating filmmaking with cutting-edge technology. His expertise spans generative AI, motion capture, LED volumes, and cinematography. Ben began his cinematic journey with a bold leap—leaving medical school to pursue his passion for storytelling through visual media. He graduated from USC with an emphasis in Virtual Production and Cinematography, where he merged traditional filmmaking with emerging tech to bring ambitious ideas to life.

Throughout his career, Ben has remained focused on exploring how technology can elevate narrative. He’s developed AI-enhanced production workflows, contributed to pioneering virtual production projects, and collaborated with multidisciplinary teams to push the boundaries of visual storytelling.

Currently, he serves as the Head of AI Technology and Production for Pathways, a hybrid live-action AI film produced by the Entertainment Technology Center (ETC). His work continues to challenge conventions and expand the possibilities of cinematic expression.
